CARE for Basket attended the NAWA Social Event where we held a stall to sell baskets and provide information on recycling.
Rachel Bartels, Director of Humanitarian Projects for NAWA, purchased some baskets from us and she had the following to say:
We are very happy with the baskets we purchased from CARE. They are sturdy, stylish, helping the environment and the best part- washable! We love that they are taking a problem- plastic waste, and creating jobs and livelihoods for people in poor communities in Ghana. Fantastic!
NAWA, The North American Women Association, is a well-established NGO organisation supported by the Canadian High Commission.
